Participation terms for companies
These terms apply to every company that adds venues to Chestni Ceni during the pilot. They are short on purpose: each rule protects the value of the badge for customers and for the companies themselves.
1. Neutral invitation
The company invites every customer with a receipt to rate their purchase. The invitation is neutral: “Rate us honestly. Your real purchase helps other customers make a better-informed choice.” There is no choosing whom to invite and no hinting at what answer is expected.
2. No rewards for ratings
Discounts, gifts, desserts, points or any other advantage in exchange for a rating, a positive rating or showing the rating screen are prohibited. The customer never sees the result of their own rating, so that there is nothing to trade.
3. Employees and owners do not rate
Employees, owners, relatives and partners of the company do not rate its own venues. Ratings from such accounts are removed when detected, and repeat cases lead to the suspension of the venue.
4. The sticker is a pointer to the live status
The sticker and the digital badge are not a certificate. They are a pointer to the page with the venue's status, which is read from the QR code. The company does not alter, cover or advertise a “Fair Price” sticker if the venue does not have that status. If the status is withdrawn or expires, the sticker is taken down within 7 days.
5. One receipt, one rating
The company does not issue receipts for the purpose of rating, does not artificially split bills and does not give receipts to third parties. Such patterns are detected by the integrity checks and lead to a report.
6. Readiness to respond
The company names a contact person who responds to enquiries about customer reports and technical matters within two working days.
7. What cannot be bought
A rating, a badge, a ranking, the removal of a rating. Participation in the pilot is free. Later, companies may pay only for analytics and software that do not affect the public data.
8. Consequences
- For a breach of sections 1–5: removal of the invalid ratings, a public report on the profile and 12 months of ineligibility for the badge.
- For a repeated or serious breach: suspension of the venue or of the company from the platform.
- The company receives a reasoned decision and may challenge it through the contact form.
