- 1.You buy.
Anything at all: a coffee, lunch, a cake, dinner. You keep the receipt.
- 2.You verify.
You open “Rate a purchase” and point the camera at the QR code. We show you what we read: date, legal entity, venue, amount. Nothing more. One receipt = one rating.
- 3.You rate.
Five short questions, under 60 seconds: overall value, quality, quantity, transparency and whether you'd pay the same price again.
- 4.You help.
Your rating goes into the venue's index, weighted by how recent it is. You earn points whatever you answered.
What we measure
The five survey questions and their weight in the rating of each purchase. Customers see only the questions; the weights are public here and in the Trust Center. The result doesn't penalise twice: negative reasons are used for diagnosis — for example “small portion”, “unclear fee”, “quality below expectations”.
- 1 · Overall value · scale 0–1040%Was the price fair for what you got?
- 2 · Quality · scale 1–525%Did the quality justify the price you paid?
- 3 · Quantity / size · scale 1–515%Did the quantity, time or size justify the price?
- 4 · Transparency · scale 1–510%Was the final price clear in advance?
- 5 · Would buy again · scale 1–510%Would you pay the same price again?
The Fair Price Index of a specific venue
The purchase rating: a weighted sum of the five questions, from 0 to 100.
Newer ratings carry more weight: after 120 days the weight is halved, after 365 days it is zero.
How sure we are: small samples are pulled towards the category average, and the badge is awarded on the lower bound. Confidence is “high” from 50 effective ratings.
The full formula, the parameters and the versions are in the Trust Center. What the index is and how to read it: Fair Price Index.
Frequently asked questions
Can I rate the same venue many times?
Once every 30 days. Your ratings of different venues carry more weight than many ratings of one place.
Why can't I see the result of my rating?
On purpose. If the screen showed the result, it could be shown to the waiter in exchange for a dessert. You see it in the venue's index, together with everyone else's.
Can an expensive restaurant have a high index?
Yes. The index doesn't measure whether it's cheap, but whether what you got was worth the price. We also compare within price ranges: €, €€, €€€.
What happens if you don't recognise the venue from the receipt?
We show the date and the legal entity from the receipt and ask which venue it is. The rating goes in at level B, and the device is “learned”: after confirmations from several different raters, it becomes known.
What do I get for a rating?
Participation points, whatever you answered: 10 for each accepted rating and a 5-point bonus for your first rating at a new venue. The levels (Newcomer, Regular, Connoisseur, Guardian) reflect participation, not content.
