What is Chestni Ceni and why did we create it?
Chestni Ceni is an independent platform with one goal: to show which companies and merchants in Bulgaria give real value for the price the customer pays. The rating comes from real customers.

We don't ask if it's cheap. We ask if it's worth it.
Every day we pay for restaurants, shops, hotels, services, repairs and dozens of other things.
And almost everyone knows these two feelings.
The first:
“It was worth every penny.”
And the second:
“I paid that much for this?”
But when we have to choose where to spend our money, we rarely have an easy way to find out what people who have actually already paid there think.
That's exactly why we created Chestni Ceni.
What is Chestni Ceni?
Chestni Ceni is an independent platform created with one main goal:
To show people which companies and merchants in Bulgaria give real value for the price the customer pays.
We don't set which prices should be low.
We don't decide what is “too expensive”.
And we don't put companies on a list just because they've said they do business fairly.
The rating comes from real customers.
Who decides whether a price is fair?
You.
The person who actually made the purchase.
Because it's the customer who can answer the most important question:
“Was what I got worth what I paid?”
That's why our idea is for the official rating to be built from verified purchases.
One real purchase = one rating.
This reduces the chance of the rating being artificially manipulated by people who were never customers.
We're not just another general review site
On most review platforms, the customer rates their overall experience.
Our focus is much more specific:
Did you get real value for your money?
That's why we rate factors such as:
- quality;
- quantity, or the size of the service;
- transparency of the final price;
- overall value;
- whether you would buy again at the same price.
These measures gradually build the Fair Price Index – a rating that shows how real customers see the relationship between price and the value they get.
We don't sell ratings
This is one of the most important principles of Chestni Ceni.
A company can't pay to get a higher rating.
It can't pay to be ranked above a competitor.
It can't buy the “Fair Price” badge.
It can't pay to make real negative ratings disappear.
And it can't buy trust.
The rating is set by customers.
Full stop.
So how does Chestni Ceni make money?
The platform's goal is not to profit from who gets a good rating and who doesn't.
The rating and the badge must remain independent of payment.
In the future, the platform may offer additional analytics tools for businesses – for example, detailed statistics, trends or managing multiple venues.
But this won't change the way the rating is calculated.
Trust isn't the product we sell.
It's the product we protect.
We're not looking for the cheapest merchants in Bulgaria
This is an important distinction.
A company can be expensive and still offer excellent value.
A premium hotel can get an exceptionally high rating.
So can a restaurant with high prices.
Because customers don't rate whether it's cheap.
They rate whether what they got was worth the money.
In the same way, a low price on its own doesn't guarantee a good result.
We want honest merchants to be seen
Bulgaria has a huge number of companies that do business fairly.
They invest in quality products.
They pay for good people.
They keep their service at a high level.
They treat their customers fairly.
And they give value that people appreciate.
We want these companies to be easier to find.
Not because they've paid for advertising.
But because their real customers say:
“Yes, that was worth it.”
How does Chestni Ceni work?
The idea is as simple as it gets.
1. You make a real purchase
You visit a restaurant, hotel or shop, or use a service.
2. You verify the purchase
Using the approved mechanism on the platform, the purchase is linked to the specific venue.
3. You answer a few short questions
You rate not just whether you liked it, but whether the price was worth it.
4. Your rating goes into the Fair Price Index
Together with the other verified ratings, it helps build a real picture of the specific venue.
Why does this matter?
Because price is one of the most important things in any purchase.
But price on its own, without context, tells us very little.
20 leva can be a lot.
It can also be an incredibly good deal.
It all depends on what we get for it.
And the more real customers share their experience, the easier it will be for the next person to make an informed choice.
What's our big goal?
We want Chestni Ceni to gradually become the place where people check whether somewhere is worth it before they spend their money.
A restaurant.
A hotel.
A shop.
A car service.
A hairdresser.
A service.
And we want the businesses that genuinely give their customers good value to get the recognition they deserve.
Who sets the fair price?
Not us.
Not businesses.
Customers.
We don't ask if it's cheap. We ask if it's worth it.
